What is Different about doing business with BEST
BIND SYSTEMS?
Best Bind Systems, when doing
business strives to follow the “four
way test” of the Rotarian Movement:
- Is it the Truth?
- Is it Fair to all concerned?
- Will it build goodwill and better
friendships?
- Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
We recognise that we may often fail in our striving and our objectives,
but we would like to challenge our customers, suppliers and employees
to remind us continually of our commitment, so that we have the
opportunity to be reminded to always strive towards the highest
standards in business and service to our community.
“Goodness is the only investment
that never fails”
“ Do unto others as you do unto yourselves”
“It is not the big things, it’s
the little things that we do on a regular basis that tell the
story of what we are all
about”
Henry David Thoreau, US essayist and Rotarian.
FOUNDING CHARTER: THE REASON FOR THE FORMATION
OF BEST BIND SYSTEMS
The founders and staff of Best Bind Systems,
acknowledge that they are founding a company during a prolonged
period of economic down
turn, and disturbance on the world’s business markets, and
during a period of political unrest. For many of us this has
also been a difficult time in our private economy and family
situations.
We therefore considered this situation, and in forming the company
we wish to recognize certain principles to which we and all our
employees are committed to follow.
We recognize that we live in a capitalistic society where the creation
of wealth is recognized as an end to itself, and those other values
of fairness, ethical consideration of our society and each other
are often lost in this single minded focus on making money.
We are not operating a charity and we do recognize that it is necessary
to make a profit, but wish to commit to other values in conducting
our business.
Our wish is that Best Bind Systems, be known and recognized as
a company that is run differently, and has different values than
a normal business company.
We wish to run the company and commit to the following objectives:
- We are committed to provide our customers and partners with
products of good quality at competitive but fair prices.
- We
are committed to providing SERVICE to our customers, our partners,
suppliers, and each other, so that all involved receive an
excellent product or service provided at competitive but fair prices.
- We recognize
that in offering SERVICE as described above that we may from
time to time have to compromise on exercising
some of our rights.
- We recognize our dependence on our customers,
partners, suppliers and employees. We commit to provide our
customers, partners,
suppliers and staff, with fair and competitive prices and salaries, to enable
all to operate under safe, ethical trading and working conditions.
- To
give our staff the opportunity to have meaningful employment
with dignity and integrity.
- In choosing staff, we wish to choose
character ahead of skills, believing that persons of good character
can be trained.
We wish to offer disadvantaged persons a chance if they meet our requirements.
- We
commit to pay fair salaries, dividends and consultancy fees
which will be on an average level for similar services provided
within the society in which the payments are made.
- We commit
to sharing the profit made with our staff and those who contribute
to our success.
- Importantly, we commit to sharing some of our
profit with those less fortunate in the societies in which
we have prospered.
- We understand the need to operate rightly
within the economic and ethical framework of the society and
time in which we live,
and our object is not only to enrich ourselves, but to share
the profit and resources generated to help persons less favorably positioned.
- We
recognize even when we strive to operate correctly, that from
time to time, decisions made in business may not afterwards
be
seen to be ethical or just.
- For this reason, we commit that each year
some of our profits shall be made available to offer financial
assistance
and risk
capital for start up operations for smaller businesses, especially but not
exclusively in Eastern Europe, Russia and the CIS Countries.
- Other
charity payments may be made from time to time, if recommended
by the board of directors, but at the sole discretion of the
owners of Best Bind Systems.
The Founding members of Best Bind Systems, and all joining staff
employed by Best Bind Systems, understand, support and subscribe
to the above Charter.
Staff joining Best Bind Systems will be expected
to understand and support this charter.
Customers and Suppliers will be informed and
encouraged to support the objectives outlined in this Founding Charter.
